My favorite meal: tomaticán

After considering among many dishes, I think the one I enjoy eating and making the most, due to its simplicity, is "tomaticán," a very typical dish from the central and southern regions of the country (from what I know).

Preparing it doesn't require much effort; it's quite easy and doesn't take much time. The ingredients, which are few, include tomatoes, onions, garlic, meat (optional), corn, basil, tomato sauce, and of course, seasonings. To prepare it, you only need to sauté the onions with the garlic for a few minutes and then add the meat, season it to taste, and wait until it's cooked. After that, you add the remaining ingredients, leaving the tomato sauce for the final step, and let it simmer over low heat for 20 minutes. And it would be ready!

I think what I like the most about it is the combination of flavors with the tomato sauce. Recipes that include tomatoes or sauce, in my opinion, enhance the taste of the other ingredients. Additionally, its consistency is mostly smooth, which makes it very pleasing to the palate.

I don't really have knowledge of how it impacts health, but considering the ingredients, I suppose it's not harmful if consumed in moderation. I highly recommend trying it if you have the chance—it's a delicious dish!
